MIA 2009 (Rimini) - 39th International Food Fair

MIA is the leading trade fair for away-from-home meals/snacks, a proving ground for a market whose total sales is €65.7 billion in Italy alone; and it is still growing. In 2015 we predict that the incidence of modern catering will grow by 45%, public catering by 30% and conventional catering by 25% (source: Nomisma survey).

Interesting new inroads into large-scale distribution will be provided by the second Large-scale Distribution Buyers’ Day, with round tables and meetings with companies and the participation of the ADIS Federdistribuzione, attending the expo with its cash and carry members.

The 2nd GDO Buyers'Day offers new advantageous access to the large-scale retail channel, with round tables, conferences and discussions among companies. The Adis Federdistribuzione will also be at present with their associated Cash&Carry members.

Among the ancillary events there will be: demonstrations and tasting sessions dedicated to high-quality catering, with the presence of world-class chefs; the Bocuse d'Or Award presided over by Gualtiero Marchesi with the chefs from the Boscolo Etoile Academy; the pizza makers of the NIP, and the Federazione Italiana Cuochi.
