ISO 9001:2000

ISO 9001 certification guarantees the commitment of an organization to quality and becomes a tool to measure the constant improvement of corporate performance.

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard concerning Quality management that can be adopted by any organization, operating in any industry. ISO 9001:2000 was developed taking as reference an organization model based on process management, using eight management principles for quality, all of which are essential for good company management.  Adopting these principles completely helps to improve the organization’s performance and guarantees a continued and documented commitment to excellence.

The principles

  • focus on the Customer  –  organizations depend on their customers and therefore need to direct their activities towards meeting market needs
  • leadership – necessary to provide units with purpose and direction
  • staff involvement – it creates an environment in which people feel fully involved in achieving company goals. People are aware of the importance of their tasks and are trained and updated continually in order to have increasingly efficient tools to complete their task successfully
  • Process approach – in order to achieve corporate goals, resources and activities must be managed for processes, i.e. considering the interactions between input and output of each activity
  • systemic management approach – the efficacy and efficiency of the Organization depends on a coherent approach to work activities
  • constant improvement – adoption of this principle as part of the corporate culture is the fundamental philosophy of La Pizza + 1
  • decisions based on factual data – effective decisions are based on intuitive and reasoned analysis of real information and data
  • reciprocally advantageous relationships with suppliers – these relationships improve the ability to create value
